21 Apr Never be afraid to ruin your reputation.
And other life advice from someone who just launched an adult coloring book.
There was a string of days where I created 20 straight videos of #CoffeeWithRobbie.
This was my family’s reaction to them.
If you ever wondered where I get my personality from, that screenshot should explain a lot.
You need to understand two things.
- Nobody knows what they’re doing.
- You only realize rule #1 once you put your reputation on the line.
I would rather ruin my reputation once a month, then never have a reputation worth remembering.
Every email I send on my newsletter I get at least 50 unsubscriptions.
50!
That’s 50 people telling me “Seriously dude. A coloring book? You’re launching a coloring book? I’m out of here.”
At least that’s what I tell myself.
So here’s the real deal.
If you’re sitting behind your desk hating your life and your career, ask yourself this one question.
“When’s the last time I tried to ruin my reputation?”
If you haven’t done it recently, what are you waiting for?
